Mardès, a house of publishing, culture, and transmission
Mardès is an inclusive and modern house that edits poetry collections, essays, magazines, and works on the art of living. It also creates cultural and artistic events that foster reflection and sharing.
Its mission is twofold: to edit and to transmit — transmitting poetry, thought, and the gestures of daily life that ease existence and enrich sensitivity.
Through its support, several Musarthis contents remain freely available, affirming a generous and elegant vision of culture.

This article is offered freely, with the support of Mardès, Swiss publishing and cultural house, and Marlena’s Code, Swiss house of elegance and poetic high perfumery.

In the silence of colors arises an intimate dialogue, a breath that settles on the canvas like an invitation to listen. Each pictorial gesture becomes an act of life, each grain of texture a secret word offered to the gaze. Thus takes shape the universe of Mein Mersedes: a meeting of light and emotion, of gentle landscapes and vibrant cities, of gratitude and joy transforming the everyday into visual poetry.

What place does texture occupy in your paintings, and why is it so essential in your journey?

For me, matter is like breath on the canvas. When I first held the spatula and felt how the material spread in irregular, living strokes, it was like discovering a new language of happiness. Every irregularity, every curve of the texture is a fragment of my soul crystallized into matter. The material transforms my unspoken feelings into something tangible, something that can be perceived not only with the eyes, but also with the heart. I love that my works have a life of their own: in the morning they are one way, in the evening completely different.

What does painting bring to you?

Painting is my favorite meditation, my way of giving myself pure joy. When I take the spatula in hand, the whole world fills with possibilities. The creative process has taught me to savor the moment: that precise movement of the hand, that unexpected curve of the paste, that light playing across the surface in a new way. It is like a dance with the canvas, where each step brings pleasure. After every work I feel happier and more complete.

What do your paintings represent?

My paintings are emotions. Each work is a snapshot of moments of joy, inspiration, serenity. When the Italian sun enters my studio, when the aroma of coffee mingles with the scent of colors, when my heart overflows with gratitude for this wonderful life. They are maps of my moments which, in a surprising way, resonate with other people’s experiences.

What do you wish to convey?

I would like to share with everyone a fragment of that lightness and beauty I feel while creating my works. I would like viewers of my textures to feel warmth, like meeting a good friend. I dream that my paintings bring into homes the atmosphere of the Italian dolce vita: when life is splendid in its simplicity, when beauty is found in details, when every day offers a reason to be grateful.

What emotion inhabits you most often when you create?

Gratitude, warm and radiant. Gratitude for having the possibility to create, for the materials that willingly transform into beauty, for the people who will live alongside my works. When I work, I am wrapped in a wave of peace and joy for the process itself. It is a feeling of full harmony with myself and with the world, when everything finds its place and life appears as a wonderful gift.

Do you transform all your emotions into art?

Now I transform into art the brightest and most inspiring emotions. I like to capture moments of beauty: when the light falls in a special way on the wall, when music perfectly matches the movement of the brush, when silent happiness spreads through the heart for no particular reason. Every positive emotion asks to be expressed in matter. Joy wants to become vivid and full-bodied, serenity soft and enveloping, inspiration dynamic and playful. Art has become my way of sharing good cheer with the world.

Which work has marked or shaken you the most during its creation?

There was a special work that deeply marked me during its creation: my Blue Angel. I painted it for a long time and without pause, completely immersed in the flow of the process, feeling every emotion vibrate through my hands. Each stroke was guided by an invisible force, each texture was born spontaneously, as if the painting were coming to life on its own. At the end of that experience, I realized that my Angel is always beside me and that creativity is the path I must dedicate myself to. The Blue Angel showed me how wonderful creativity can be when it is lived fully, in harmony with the soul and the heart.

Finally, how would you present yourself in your own words?

I am a woman who found her own voice through the silence of the canvas. An artist who believes that every human feeling is sacred and worthy of being embodied in beauty.

My name is Mein Mersedes. I come from Estonia, but I have been living in sunny Italy for fifteen years. These two countries inspire me in different ways: Estonia with its nature and the calm of its landscapes, Italy with its light, colors, and the vitality of its cities. In my paintings, I try to merge these impressions and invite the viewer to immerse themselves in my world of emotions and sensations.

Yes, once art found me in a moment of searching for myself, but now it is pure joy and inspiration. Each of my works is a message: that the world is wonderful, that every day offers a reason to create, that beauty is born of joy. I am an artist who believes that art should make life brighter and warmer.

Each painting reveals itself as a fragment of the soul, a luminous imprint that remains suspended in the air even when the gaze turns away. In Mein Mersedes’ works, matter breathes, light sings, and color consoles. Her artistic voice does not seek to explain, but to make one feel: it invites us to live beauty as gratitude, simplicity as a gift, and art as the warmest form of presence in the world.
